TARU STUDIOS
Behind every Taru piece is a maker who has spent decades perfecting their craft. When you bring one home, you bring that story with it.

A considered selection of heirloom objects, chosen for their craftsmanship, character, and enduring beauty.

Mr. Basheer has been shaping bone by hand since he was fifteen. He learned by sitting beside his father, watching every cut, every placement, every careful polish. That was over thirty years ago. Today, the same patience lives in every piece that leaves our studio. No machines. No shortcuts.
Just hands that have spent a lifetime knowing exactly what they’re doing.
At Taru, we work directly with these makers — ensuring they are paid fairly, their craft is preserved, and their story travels with every piece into your home.
Cut from ethically sourced bone, shaped by hand, and inlaid piece by piece into intricate patterns inspired by Mughal palace walls. Every object in this collection took days to make and decades of skill to perfect.
Mother-of-pearl set by hand, paired with rich painted detail that no two artisans apply quite the same way. Each piece catches light differently — because no two pieces are ever truly identical.

Ethically Sourced- All bone comes from naturally deceased animals through government-regulated suppliers. No animal is ever harmed. No material is ever wasted. Master-Made - Every piece passes through artisan hands carrying 30 to 45 years of experience.
The kind of skill that cannot be taught quickly, or replicated by a machine. Built to Last - Two rounds of hand-polishing. A full quality inspection. Made using the same techniques passed down through three generations of artisan families.
