GENERAL TERMS
Taru Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website tarustudios.com (the “Site”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our Site and purchase of our products.
By using our Site or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or make purchases.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
PRODUCT INFORMATION & ORDERING
Handcrafted Nature
All Taru Studios pieces are 100% handcrafted by artisans in India. Each piece is unique. Slight variations in pattern, color, wood grain, bone tone, or brass patina are natural characteristics of authentic handwork — not defects.
Product Descriptions
We strive for accuracy in all product descriptions, dimensions, materials, and photography. However, we cannot guarantee that your device’s display will accurately reflect actual colors. Handcrafted variations mean your piece may differ slightly from images shown.
Pricing
All prices are listed in USD. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at checkout.
Order Acceptance
Your order is an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for reasons including:
• Product availability
• Errors in pricing or product information
• Suspected fraudulent activity
If an order is declined after payment, a full refund will be issued.
Custom Commissions
• 50% deposit required upfront
• Remaining balance due before shipping
• All custom work is final sale
• Design approval checkpoints provided before production
PAYMENT
We accept:
• Major credit cards
• Apple Pay
• Google Pay
• PayPal
• Stripe
Payment is due at time of order, or 50% upfront for custom commissions.
All payments are securely processed through third-party payment providers. We do not store complete credit card information.
By providing payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted.
SHIPPING
Shipping Locations
We currently ship within the continental United States. International shipping may be available upon request by contacting hello@tarustudios.com.
Shipping Times
• In-stock items: 7–14 business days
• Custom commissions: 6–12 weeks depending on complexity
Shipping Costs
• Free shipping on orders over $300 within the continental US
• Orders under $300 calculated at checkout
Risk of Loss
All items are shipped FOB shipping point. Risk of loss and title transfer to the customer upon delivery to the shipping carrier.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
In-Stock Items
• 15-day return window from delivery date
• Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging
• Customer responsible for return shipping unless item arrived damaged or defective
• Refunds processed within 5–7 business days after return inspection
Custom Commissions
All custom work is final sale with no returns, exchanges, or refunds.
Damaged or Defective Items
Contact hello@tarustudios.com immediately with photographs of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost.
Refund Method
Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this Site — including text, imagery, logos, product descriptions, artisan stories, and photography — is owned by Taru Studios or its content providers and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Site content without express written permission.
Product designs remain the intellectual property of Taru Studios and our artisan partners.
PROHIBITED USES
You agree not to:
• Use the Site for unlawful purposes
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with Site functionality
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Collect user information without consent
USER CONTENT
If you submit photos, reviews, testimonials, or other content to Taru Studios:
• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use and display the content for marketing and promotional purposes
• You confirm that you own or have rights to the submitted content
• You agree that we may use your name or social handle unless anonymity is requested
We reserve the right to remove user-submitted content at our discretion.
DISCLAIMERS
Product Disclaimer
ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that:
• Products will meet specific expectations
• Product descriptions are fully complete or error-free
• The Site will operate uninterrupted or without errors
Artisan Products
Natural variations are inherent to handcrafted goods and are considered part of the character and authenticity of each piece.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TARU STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR REVENUE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Taru Studios, its affiliates, artisan partners, and employees from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES
These Terms are governed by the laws of USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where injunctive relief may be sought in court.
You waive participation in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
FORCE MAJEURE
Taru Studios is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:
• Natural disasters
• Acts of God
• War or terrorism
• Labor disputes
• Government actions
• Supplier or shipping delays
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain fully enforceable.
